MoMA and the new Emilio Ambasz Research Institute

The Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) announces the birth ofEmilio Ambasz' Research Institute for the joint study of a new architecture that will reconcile Nature with the artificial environment. Based in MoMA's Department of Architecture and Design, the Institute, funded by the LEAF Foundation, will be dedicated to understanding the interaction between architecture and natureEmilio Ambasz, considered the father, poet and prophet of green architecture, and the MoMA intend to further develop and enrich the global debate on the urgent need for ecological recalibration. “The birth ofAmbasz Institute – we read in the press release Museum of Modern Art in New York – offers to MoMA an important opportunity to continue his leadership global on sustainability issues, celebrating and cultivating a deeper public understanding of architecture and design. Research opportunities and a variety of programs including public lectures, conferences and symposiums, many of them online, will bring together and foster conversations between architects, designers, policymakers, social thinkers, historians and the general public.
